Senior Naval Officer Stabbed to Death During Robbery Attempt in Kaduna

A senior Nigerian naval officer, Lieutenant Commodore M. Buba, was killed during a robbery attempt at Kawo Bridge in Kaduna.
The officer, who was on course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, was fixing a flat tyre when he was approached by a hoodlum demanding his phone. After refusing, he was stabbed in the chest.
A local vigilante, Suleiman Dahiru, tried to intervene but was also injured.
The attacker was eventually overpowered and lynched by bystanders. Buba was rushed to Manaal Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.
His body was later moved to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.
The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the incident and assured the public that security efforts are being strengthened to curb crime in the area.
