

A devastating auto accident occurred in Ondo State, resulting in the deaths of 30 passengers. The tragedy happened when two commercial buses collided head-on and burst into flames along the Ore/Lagos Expressway.
There were 32 passengers involved in the accident. Unfortunately, 28 were burnt beyond recognition, while two survivors rescued with serious injuries died before reaching the hospital. Only two passengers are still receiving treatment.
According to sources, excessive speeding by the drivers caused the accident. A preliminary investigation revealed that one of the vehicles drove against traffic.
Ibitoye, who urged drivers to exercise caution, ensure proper vehicle maintenance and avoid reckless driving, encouraged passengers to speak out against unsafe driving practices, emphasising that road safety is a shared responsibility.
