Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero, was arrested by Department of State Service (DSS) operatives on Monday, September 9th.

The arrest occurred at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where Ajaero was about to depart for the United Kingdom. He was scheduled to attend an official engagement in the UK.
