Italy have been eliminated from the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.

The defending champions lost 2-0 to Switzerland in the first Round of the 16 fixture on Saturday.

The Swiss had 65 per cent of the ball and eight of the first nine attempts at goal prior, before taking the lead through Remo Freuler.
