Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s forward, has moved up to sixth place in the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring charts. This achievement comes after he scored two goals in the Reds’ victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Salah’s goals were a highlight of the match. He first put his team ahead with a 30th-minute penalty. Then, with 15 minutes left to play at the Vitality Stadium, he scored a remarkable goal, curling the ball past goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
These two goals, Salah’s 177th and 178th in the Premier League, pushed him past Chelsea legend Frank Lampard in the all-time scoring list. This achievement comes just a week after Salah surpassed Thierry Henry’s record.
Salah is now the second-highest scoring overseas player in Premier League history, with only Sergio Agüero ahead of him, having scored 184 goals. The Premier League’s all-time top scorer remains Alan Shearer, with an impressive 260 goals.
