Two People Survive Bus Accident in Lagos State.
A commercial bus collided with a slow-moving truck in Lagos on Tuesday, leaving two people injured. The accident occurred at 4:45 a.m. at Ojota, Maryland, due to high speed and loss of control by the bus driver.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) responded promptly, and their Tiger Response Team carried out the rescue operation. The victims, who were trapped inside the bus, were rescued and taken to the hospital with various injuries.
Investigations revealed that the bus was speeding and crashed into the truck from behind. Fortunately, the accident did not result in any fatalities. However, it caused a temporary traffic jam along the highway, which was cleared before rush hour.
LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, urged motorists to follow traffic rules and drive safely to prevent accidents that could result in injury or loss of life and property.
