“Tragedy struck in Sapele, Delta State, on the night of August 9, when a trailer carrying sugar cane overturned at the Amukpe roundabout, claiming the lives of six people.

The victims, who were waiting for transportation to Warri, died instantly in the accident.

Although the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has yet to confirm the incident, police officers were present at the scene to maintain order and prevent any disturbances along the road.

The incident has left the community in shock, and an official statement from the authorities is eagerly awaited.”
