SHOCKING! Ashawo House Discovered Inside A Primary School

The Edo State Government has sealed off an Ashawo House Discovered reportedly operating within the premises of a primary school in Esan West Local Government Area. The shocking revelation was made during a press briefing held on Thursday in Benin City.
According to Eugene Okolosie, the State Coordinator for the Protection of Government Property (PGP), the illicit operation was uncovered during an ongoing effort to reclaim encroached public assets. He revealed that the brothel was discovered inside Ujuele Primary School and has since been shut down by authorities.
“This kind of illegal activity within a school environment is not only unacceptable but a direct threat to our children’s safety and education,” Okolosie stated. He added that discussions are currently underway with the state governor regarding the future use of the reclaimed property.
Beyond the Ashawo House Discovered, Okolosie disclosed that the state has successfully recovered over 2,000 plots of land previously taken over by land grabbers. He noted that many of the encroachments involved forged documents and signatures, with a large portion of the affected lands originally designated for public institutions, including schools.
“In total, over 150,000 houses in Edo have been built on illegally acquired government lands,” Okolosie said, highlighting the scale of the challenge facing the state. He emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to restoring public assets and ensuring that public infrastructure, especially schools, are protected from illegal occupation.
The state’s latest actions reflect a broader crackdown on property violations and a renewed focus on safeguarding educational spaces across Edo.
