The Bauchi State Police Command recently arrested two 15-year-old secondary school students, Hamza Sadiq and Adamu Ahmadu, on charges of robbery. The teenagers, who attend Bakari Dukku Comprehensive Secondary School, were apprehended for their involvement in a theft at a mobile phone shop in Wunti Market, Bauchi.

During the robbery, the students stole a significant quantity of items, including 100 mobile phones, 75 MP4 players, and 30 cell phone batteries, among other goods. Following their arrest, the police managed to recover some of the stolen property: 21 mobile phones, 5 MP4 players, a charger, and a metal key.

The suspects admitted to obtaining the key to the shop, strategically timing their actions with the shop owner’s departure, and subsequently selling the stolen items at reduced prices. The proceeds from these sales were reportedly used to purchase clothes, food, and a smartphone.

In light of this incident, the Bauchi State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order. They have also called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
