Gunmen kill six persons, injure 12 others in fresh attacks in Plateau State

Gunmen have killed six people, including a woman, in separate attacks on communities in Bassa and Mangu LGAs of Plateau State.

This occurred amidst reports of fresh attacks in the region.

Twelve others were injured and are receiving treatment. In Bassa, herders were killed while grazing.

Meanwhile, in Mangu, two people were killed and homes were burned following a clash between herders and local youths.

The incidents come a day after four others were killed in a related attack in Uwok-Ishe community. This highlights rising insecurity in the region.
