The incident allegedly occurred while Alakija and her husband, Modupe Alakija, Chairman of Famfa Oil, were traveling on a plane. The traumatic experience caused Alakija’s blood pressure to spike, ultimately leading to her loss of sight.

Despite changing flights after the incident, Alakija’s condition reportedly deteriorated, resulting in her blindness. The billionaire businesswoman is now receiving medical treatment, with her family and loved ones rallying around her during this challenging time.

One of the sources, according to SaharaReporters said;
