JESUS CHRIST! Terrorists Storm Community, Kill 13 Vigilantes

At least 13 members of a local vigilante group were killed on Sunday during a deadly attack on the Morai community in Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The attack was reportedly carried out by suspected Lakurawa terrorists.

Eyewitness Malam Ibrahim Augie stated that the vigilantes had mobilized swiftly after receiving alerts about the terrorists’ presence.

However, the Lakurawa group had already encircled the area, leading to a surprise assault on the vigilantes as they confronted the attackers, who were attempting to rustle cattle from the community. Tragically, the vigilantes were ambushed and fatally shot during the confrontation.

“The vigilantes hid to attack and recapture the rustled cattle, but they didn’t know the Lakurawa had already seen them. They were shot and killed,” he told Daily Trust.

The bodies of the slain vigilantes were recovered by locals following the attack, sparking fear and outrage in the area.

The attack adds to a growing wave of violence in northwestern Nigeria, where armed groups continue to carry out raids, kidnappings, and cattle rustling with impunity.
