Napoli kicked off their Serie A campaign with a disappointing 3-0 loss to Hellas Verona, and notable by his absence was Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
With rumors of a potential summer transfer to either Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain, Osimhen was left out of the squad by manager Antonio Conte, who is awaiting the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Conte was dealt another blow when star midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was forced off the pitch after a collision with an opposing player before halftime.
Osimhen’s exclusion from the team has fueled speculation about his future at Napoli, as the club prepares for a potential departure.”

Napoli’s problems continued after the break when Dailon Livramento slotted in a cross from close range to give the hosts the lead.
In the 75th minute, Daniel Mosquera received a through ball and calmly slotted it home to double Verona’s lead.
In stoppage time, Verona scored a third goal as Napoli’s defence faltered, allowing Mosquera to tap in a close-range pass and complete his brace.
