Daniel Bwala, former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will serve two full terms, totaling eight years.
Bwala cited the recent vote of confidence from the Council of State as evidence of Tinubu’s likely longevity in office.
He inferred that this endorsement suggests Tinubu will not only complete his first term but also be re-elected in 2027, allowing him to serve the maximum two terms permitted by the constitution.
Bwala’s statement implies a sense of certainty about Tinubu’s political future, despite the unpredictability of Nigerian politics.
He wrote:
“The passing of the vote of confidence by the council of state is a clear reminder to the political class whose idea of democracy is either they must be the ones in charge or must control who is in charge that our democracy has passed that stage.
“You may not like @officialABAT or his style of governance, but God willing, he is in charge and will be for the remainder of three years and renewable for another term (second term) if the Nigerian people vote him.
“Accept that reality and have peace of mind. We all say no to backdoor regime change.”
