As a mother of three, Omoni Oboli emphasized that maintaining her principles was important, even if it meant losing career opportunities. The incident occurred after she had returned to Nigeria, following a hiatus from the movie industry to focus on raising her children abroad.

Omoni Oboli’s candid revelation sheds light on the ethical dilemmas some actors face in the film industry, and her story serves as an inspiration for maintaining integrity in the face of professional challenges.

In her words:

“One director asked me to kiss him at an audition, and I couldn’t understand why he would do that. So I was like ‘is this an audition?’ and he was like ‘yeah, I just want to see’ and I said ‘sorry, I can’t do it because I didn’t see any reason I would be kissing you the director when we are not on set.

“And so I said ‘oh no sorry, I can’t.’ Guess what? I didn’t get the role that I travelled for, and I ended up travelling back without playing the role.”
