Governor Hyacinth Alia Hosts 2Face Idibia in Makurdi, Unveils Creative Leadership Initiative

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, over the weekend hosted Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House in Makurdi.
The meeting was part of an official event titled the “Induction Dinner and Official Unveiling of a New Phase of Leadership, Creativity, and Community Impact.”
The governor confirmed the visit through a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday night, stating that 2Face and his wife were in the state to participate in the unveiling ceremony. Governor Alia described the gathering as a “convergence of talent, passion, and purpose,” underscoring the significance of the creative industry in shaping the future of Benue State.
A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “1 Voice Benue Manifesto,” which the governor referred to as a call to action for unity, innovation, and social impact. He noted that the document sets the tone for a transformative approach to leadership and development, particularly through youth and community engagement.
Governor Alia praised the turnout and participation of Benue’s top talents in music, film, comedy, fashion, and other creative sectors, saying it demonstrated the state’s vibrant cultural energy. “Benue’s creative industry showed that it is ready to lead and inspire,” he stated.
Expressing his pride in the event and its message, the governor added, “I am proud to stand with our youth, our creatives, and all those committed to a better Benue. This is only the beginning.”
It is worth noting that 2Face Idibia was recently appointed by Governor Alia as the Technical Adviser for Entertainment and Community Outreach, a role that signals the administration’s commitment to harnessing entertainment as a tool for development and positive social change.
