

Nigerian musician Ololade Ahmed, professionally known as Asake, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first African artist to top the global Spotify debut chart.
His recently released third studio album, “Lungu Boy”, debuted at number one on the chart, shattering records in the process.
The 15-track album, featuring collaborations with prominent artists such as Wizkid, Travis Scott, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmilla, accumulated an impressive 9.42 million streams on the Global Spotify Chart within its first 24 hours.
Furthermore, the album’s standout track “MMS”, featuring Wizkid, set a new record for the largest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria with 870,000 streams.
This accomplishment solidifies Asake’s position as a trailblazer in the African music industry.
