Nigerian Man Arrested On Child Pornography Allegations In America

A 19-year-old Nigerian man, Ugochukwu Chukwudi, has been arrested in Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, on multiple allegations related to child pornography. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announced this in a statement on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Chukwudi has been booked with 41 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, as well as an additional 23 counts involving older minors.
According to the TPSO, detectives working as part of a multi-agency Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force began investigating in March after discovering the uploading of illicit videos depicting sexually exploited children to an online cloud service.
The investigators were able to identify Chukwudi as the individual responsible for uploading the material, and he was taken into custody on Monday, March 31.
While the TPSO did not detail how they linked Chukwudi to the video uploads, an analysis of devices he had at the time of his arrest revealed 64 illegal video files containing “child sexual abuse material,” with the majority of the victims being under the age of 13.
The TPSO stated that the task force operates in partnership with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office, with the Hammond Police Department assisting in the case.
