President Bola Tinubu has launched the inaugural fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The initial batch consists of 20 buses, manufactured in Nigeria by Innoson Motors. This initiative aims to alleviate transportation challenges, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The introduction of CNG buses fulfills part of the demands made by organized labor following the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government on May 29, 2023. This move demonstrates the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of citizens and providing sustainable transportation solutions.
