Paris Olympics: 7 times back to back Reigning champions USA to face Nigeria in women’s basketball knockouts

The United States will face Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics women’s basketball competition on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

“Following the Olympic committee’s draw on Sunday, Nigeria’s national basketball team, a historic first for an African nation to reach the quarterfinals in both men’s and women’s Olympic basketball tournaments, will now face off against the reigning champions, the USA, who have dominated the competition with seven consecutive title wins.”

Nigeria beat Canada 79-70 on Sunday, while the USA defeated Germany 87-68.
