At 32 years old, Salah has recorded a remarkable tally of 28 goals and 18 assists across all competitions, underlining his status as one of the top performers in world football. He is also currently leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, further strengthening his case for individual accolades.

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Salah reflected on his season: “I would say I never had a season like this and winning big trophies.

So I would say this is my best chance to get it right now while I’m in the club because it’s been a crazy year, a crazy season with a trophy.”

The Ballon d’Or 2025 ceremony is scheduled for September 22, and Salah remains one of the frontrunners for the honor. His dominant form and title-winning campaign have placed him firmly in the spotlight.

However, Salah faces stiff competition for the award. Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembélé and Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal are also in strong contention, following their own impressive performances at club and international levels.

As the football world anticipates the official announcement, fans and analysts alike are backing Salah to finally clinch the Ballon d’Or—an accolade that would cement his legacy as one of the greatest players of his generation.
