Bournemouth Are Planning To Sign Nigeria Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye
Premier League club Bournemouth has set its sights on Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as a potential transfer target for the summer. This move is prompted by uncertainty surrounding the future of their current Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arrizabalaga joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan from Chelsea last summer, but his long-term prospects with the club remain unclear. As a result, Bournemouth is exploring alternative options, with Okoye emerging as a prime candidate.
According to reports by Sportitalia, Bournemouth may make a move for Okoye at the end of the season. The 25-year-old Nigerian international has prior experience playing in England, having represented Watford in the Sky Bet Championship.
Since joining Udinese in 2023, Okoye has established himself as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.
He was linked with a move to Inter Milan last summer.
