Kebbi Police Command Disburses N4.4 Million to Families of Fallen Officers

The Kebbi State Police Command has disbursed welfare cheques totaling N4.4 million to eight families of police officers who lost their lives while serving the nation.
The presentation was made during a brief ceremony held at the police headquarters in Birnin Kebbi. Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration, DCP Aminu Babale, handed over the cheques on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
During the event, DCP Babale encouraged the bereaved families to utilize the financial support wisely, particularly in areas such as education, welfare, and daily upkeep.
He also offered prayers for the souls of the fallen officers and comfort for their families, emphasizing that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to supporting the loved ones of its personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The financial support was provided under the IGP Family Welfare Scheme, a program designed to assist the families of police officers who die while on active duty.
A representative of the beneficiaries, Kamal Abubakar, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police leadership, describing the gesture as a welcome relief during a difficult time. He praised the initiative for its positive impact and reaffirmed the families’ appreciation for the continued support.
