

The Defence Headquarters in Abuja is hosting a high-level meeting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chiefs of Defence Staff.
Chaired by Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who also serves as the chairman of the ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff, the gathering brings together top military and government officials.
Attendees include Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence, Ahmed Lawan; and Chairman of the House Committee on Defence.
Also present are representatives from the Office of the National Security Adviser, service chiefs, and the Chief of Defence Staff from ECOWAS member states, with the exception of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
