

A 63-year-old plumber, Akin Kuboye, was successfully rescued after falling into a deep well in Igando, Lagos. The incident took place on Sunday morning at 20 Muyibi Adebayo Street, off Agric Road, Egan–Igando.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service received a distress call regarding the situation and responded promptly at 9:54 a.m. According to Margaret Adeseye, the director of the fire agency, the rescue team acted swiftly to ensure Kuboye’s safety.
Reports indicate that Kuboye became trapped while working in a 120-meter-deep well situated behind a 14-room bungalow on a property measuring approximately 648 square meters. The Ejigbo rescue team was able to bring him out alive, showcasing their efficiency in handling such critical situations.
After his rescue, Kuboye was handed over to the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), where he received treatment for inhaling ammonia gas. Following initial care, he was transported to the hospital for further assessment and treatment.
