EFCC Arrests 10 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Lagos State
Operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 10 suspected internet fraudsters. EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
The suspects were arrested on November 22 in Adewale Estate and Sea Side Estate located in the Badore area of Lagos State.
The arrests were made following credible intelligence regarding the activities of certain members of an organized cybercrime syndicate involved in computer-related fraud.
Items recovered from the suspects include exotic cars, mobile devices, and mobile phones.
Oyewale stated that all suspects have voluntarily given their statements and noted that they would be charged to court once investigations are completed.
