According to reports, Mrs. Dazumi died on Monday at the King Fahad General Hospital in Makkah following a brief illness.

Her passing was confirmed by Malam Musah Uduimoh, Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, on Tuesday.

Uduimoh explained that the pilgrim became ill shortly after performing Tawaaf, the sacred Islamic rite of circumambulating the Kaaba. She was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and, unfortunately, passed away the following day.

“In line with Islamic customs, she was buried in Makkah on the same day of her passing, and her family in Jattu Uzairue has been duly informed,” the board chairman stated.

He extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and assured the public that the welfare board is actively committed to the health, safety, and well-being of all Edo pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia.
