“Nigerian rapper Oladips has sparked a controversy by accusing Wizkid of intellectual theft. He claims that Wizkid’s verse on Asake’s song “MMS” bears a striking similarity to his own lyrics from “Ajala Traveller”, released in 2022.

Oladips shared a screenshot comparing the two lines: “I had to lose myself to find my purpose” (from “Ajala Traveller”) and “Lost Myself, and I found my purpose” (from “MMS”).

He questioned the coincidence, asking if it was “recycling or coincidence”, and publicly called on Wizkid to address the issue and clarify whether the similarity was intentional or not.”
