According to Biodun Okeowo, marketers in the industry blacklisted her after she refused to give in to their sexual demands. This experience had a profoundly negative impact on her career.

Biodun expressed her frustration and hurt, questioning how much she should reveal about the marketers’ wrongdoing. She noted that their actions caused significant damage to her career, ultimately leading her to walk away from the industry.

In her words:

“Marketers were the reason I left the movie industry after blácklisting me for refusing to remove my panties. They even told producers to stop featuring me in movies and went as far as removing my head from the poster of a film where I played the lead role. How many of their w!cked actions should I even talk about? They did so much damage to my career then that l eventually got tired of acting and walked away by myself. I developed so much h@tred for a job I once had so much passion for that I began to turn jobs down.”
