50 Cent Reveals Why He Rejected $3m TO Perform At Donald Trump Rally
American rapper Curtis Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, has revealed that he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at a rally for Republican Party candidate Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden in New York. This disclosure came during an interview on The Breakfast Club, where 50 Cent discussed his stance on politics and the music industry.
In the interview, 50 Cent confirmed that he received a call not only for the Madison Square Garden event but also for the opportunity to perform his song “Many Men, Wish Death” at this year’s Republican National Convention for a similar amount. However, he explained that he declined both offers due to his apprehensions about the controversial nature of politics.
His decision highlights the complex relationship between artists and political engagements, particularly in today’s charged political climate.
“I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics.
“It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he said.
