Famous Nigerian musician Davido has made a public pledge to protect fellow artist Tiwa Savage from any potential harm. This statement comes a year after Tiwa Savage filed a petition against him, alleging that he had threatened her life. The incident between the two well-known singers began in January 2024, when Tiwa Savage posted a photo on social media featuring herself alongside Davido’s first baby mama, Sophia Momodu.

In the wake of these events, Tiwa Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz, responded to the alleged threat by warning that he would teach Davido a lesson.

However, during an interview on the Breakfast Club, Davido addressed the situation, reassuring the public that he would ensure nothing happens to Tiwa Savage, thereby seeking to calm the tense situation.

While describing Savage as his “sister for life,” he vowed to protect her with all that he has.

“We used to stay in the same house. The situation with Tiwa Savage was personal because she was a good friend to Sophia.

“Tiwa Savage is my sister for life, but she changed the game for females. We are family, and I love her and her child. It’s just like a brother and sister fight. She did reach out. I will never allow anything to happen to her.”
