Afrobeats singer Babatunde Rahim, popularly known as Lyta, has issued a striking warning to his fans, threatening to stop releasing new songs if they do not start streaming the tracks he has already dropped.

The former YBNL signee expressed his concerns, lamenting that he is facing financial difficulties and going bankrupt due to a lack of patronage from music fans.

Speaking during a recent Instagram live session, Lyta said,

“I can do more good music. But if you don’t stream my music, I won’t drop another one. I’m in need of money.

“Look at how I’m looking [slim]. I want to gain weight. Let me enjoy your money a little. If you stream my music, I will add weight.”

Lyta came into prominence in 2018 after he was signed to YBNL Nation. He left the record label in May 2019 after having a disagreement with the label owner Olamide.

In previous interviews, he publicly pleaded with Olamide to accept him back into YBNL, but the rapper didn’t accept his plea to be re-signed to the label.
