In a statement shared on her X handle on Thursday, the R&B star vowed never to enter into a romantic relationship again, stating that she believes romantic relationships are “a disease”. SZA’s decision to abstain from romance comes as a surprise to her fans, but it seems the singer is resolute in her choice, opting instead to focus on herself and her career.

“I never wanna be romantically interested in a human being ever again in my entire life . That sh*t is a disease,” she wrote.

SZA has been rumoured to have been in a romantic relationship with rapper Travis Scott and a gay relationship with her colleague, Kehlani.

While Kehlani later admitted that she was a lesbian after her and SZA sparked relationship rumours, the latter never publicly disclosed her sexuality.

In a rare statement, SZA said in a tweet in 2020 that she and rapper Drake briefly dated in 2009.
