Arsenal has reportedly entered the race to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, with a bid worth €50m plus bonuses. According to Football Italia, the Gunners are willing to include Jakub Kiwior in the deal to lower the fee, possibly even on loan with an option to buy.

Lookman has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, but the Ligue 1 champions’ interest appears to have cooled off.

The Super Eagles winger played against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup last Wednesday but asked to be left out of Atalanta’s Serie A opener against Lecce on Monday. He also refused to participate in training on Wednesday, according to Sport Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà.

Atalanta is keen to retain Lookman’s services and is prepared to double his current wages.

The 26-year-old had an impressive season last year, scoring 17 goals with 10 assists in 45 matches. However, Arsenal’s bid may tempt Atalanta to sell, especially if Kiwior is included in the deal. The situation remains uncertain, with Lookman’s future still up in the air.
