Bruno Fernandes Orders Manchester United To Sign More Players
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has disclosed that he requested the club’s senior officials to actively engage in the transfer market before committing to a new contract. Fernandes, 29, signed a fresh deal with the Red Devils last week, ending speculation about a potential move away from Old Trafford.
During contract negotiations, Fernandes made his expectations clear to United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and other officials.
He emphasized the need for the club to strengthen its squad in order to compete with the top teams in the league.
By doing so, Fernandes demonstrated his commitment to the club’s success and his desire to see significant improvements in the team’s performance.
Speaking to Manutd.com, Fernandes said:
“The club knew that I wanted to compete with the best teams.
“They knew that we needed to improve the team. And I think that we’re doing that.”
