Kylian Mbappé made his highly anticipated La Liga debut for Real Madrid, but the defending champions were unexpectedly held to a draw by Mallorca on the opening day.

Despite scoring a goal in his debut for the club in the 2-0 UEFA Super Cup victory over Atalanta just days earlier, the French captain was unable to replicate his success in domestic football, failing to find the net in his first La Liga appearance.

The summer signing from Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to make a bigger impact in upcoming matches.
