The Ekiti State Police Command has taken a decisive step in protecting the welfare of a 4-year-old child by arresting Kunle Ogunnusi, a resident of Oke-Ila in Ado-Ekiti, for alleged physical abuse.

The arrest was prompted by concerned members of the community who reported the incident to the authorities. According to police spokesman Sunday Abutu, Ogunnusi admitted to the crime, claiming that he was provoked by his own son.

However, a further investigation revealed a disturbing pattern of frequent abuse, with Ogunnusi using dangerous objects to inflict injuries on the child at the slightest provocation.
